Digital Vision

Commercials

Commercial clients the world over are faced with the same challenge as they move to non-linear. How can you deliver the same immediacy that was offered by traditional telecine equipment yet take advantage of the superior color tools and non-linear capability offered by software based grading.

Digital Vision pioneered the concept of grading directly off shared storage and provided facilites with the possibility of a faster workflow than traditional grading. With shared storage you can capture film to data, grade, create video deliverables and also data offline all at the same time. This eliminates any down time and provides non-linear access to all the source material at all times

This non-linear revolution has major implications for the new age of commercial production.

Digital Vision also possesses unique technology that allows film and data to be combined and matched into the same production. In short, Digital Vision is fast becoming the must have in commercials facilities worldwide.

Our DVO image processing systems are widely used to enhance the look of commercial footage as well as being to repair damaged or dirty film scans. Our DVO Grain Management System allows colourists to subtly control the look of film grain and match shots. Our Film Dust and Dirt Concealer removes dust and other imperfections that may find its way onto new footage without generating artefacts. We also have a huge amount of motion compensated picture enhancement and pre-processing tools, including Anti-Alias and Brickwall filters, Sharpen and Aperture tools, separation print alignment functions and restoration tools to automatically fix vertical scratches to name but a few. All of the tools can be used in conjunction with each other, subtly blended or used in whatever context the operator wishes to create the legendary Digital Vision picture quality we have become famous for over the past 20 years.

The legendary DVNR hardware systems are still the ‘must have’ choice for any high-end commercials house looking for the best pictures directly off the telecine. If you are taking delivery of a new telecine why compromise on the output quality.
